Who We Are
Billions of people around the globe suffer from a broad range of debilitating injury and disease, with treatments either inaccessible, cost prohibitive, or non-existent.
Beyond the devastating financial costs, developing solutions for global health issues are enormously time consuming; with an average of 15 years of research needed to bring an innovative medical solution to market.
Considering this state of affairs unacceptable, Dr. Gary K. Michelson, a renowned orthopedic surgeon, inventor, patent holder and philanthropist has established the Michelson Medical Research Foundation [MMRF] to support forward thinking initiatives in medical science.
At the Michelson Medical Research Foundation, we believe that by leveraging the collaboration of engineers, scientists, and physicians to solve real world problems, experts can develop new ideas and innovations in a fraction of the time, rapidly moving medical advancements from the laboratory into our society.
A key player in advancing convergent medical research since its inception in 1995, the Michelson Medical Research Foundation’s ambitious goals are expressed throughout a number of avenues, with an ever-expanding portfolio of projects and initiatives.
